I LOVE Valentine's! It is one of my favorites to send all the cute stuff to my kids school for their parties. So, this year I thought I would offer mini sessions for those of you that want to send personalized cards and treat bags to your kiddos school. These are mini sessions and will last about 20 min.

I have valentine cards and treat bag toppers to choose from. I am adding more daily so there will be plenty to choose from.

and I had some of the cutest little models come in this past week! and of course my kiddos where there also :)

Here are the packages that are being offered............ THERE IS NO SESSION FEE!!

When I get the actual treat bag toppers in I will post some pics of how they look completed.

Yes, Christmas season is in full swing and we are actually at the end of it. I have extended my Christmas dates till November 23rd for those of you who are wanting portraits for Christmas cards or gifts. Spaces are limited but there are still a few times available. I finally put one of my ideas in play and I think it turned out great! I was wanting to offer something different this year for Christmas presents so we made a portrait clock.

So, I get a Facebook request today from my mother in law adding me as a friend and I got so tickled because I knew the only reason she set that up was because I have not been posting any pictures to my blog. She always ask "have you posted anything lately" and my reply "no, but I have to facebook" she got tired of waiting on me haha. But, here I am and I am posting the beautiful baby K.

Tioga High School is full (8/8/11)

I am looking for students with an outgoing personality, those who are photogenic and MUST be comfortable in front of a camera :).

What is a senior rep?
A senior rep is someone fun, who has an amazing personality and a great attitude, and not afraid to do silly things in front of the camera :)

You will head out with me and Kelly for a fun photoshoot and can have up to 3 outfit changes.
After your session you will receive 48 rep cards with some of your photos on them to hand out to friends.

All senior rep sessions need to be done by the end of September.

I hate that I don't have much time to blog anymore :( and can't believe it has been close to a month since my last post. I have been trying to stay on top of editing because we are going on vacation in a couple of weeks and Kelly (my assistant) is on vacation for 2 WEEKS!! wow! that was nice of me huh!??! just kidding she knows I love her!

Free Kittens

I have 3 precious kittens and one very sweet and affectionate cat that I need to find a good home. The kittens are 6 weeks old and litter box trained. The two black ones are females and the black and white one is a male.
The momma cat is super sweet and appox 1 year old. She showed up at my house pregnant so I had to take her in. I couldn't leave her for no one to take care of her and her babies. I can't keep her because my cat has been terribly mad at me since "Sugar" showed up :(. (we call her Sugar because she is so sweet ) She will go outside if forced haha but she likes to stay inside. :) You can't really tell from the pics but "Sugar" has beautiful green eyes. Please help me find them good homes..... if interested call me 290-1204.

On the morning of April 13, 2011 I took kids to school and I had to go and get some cat food because my cat was out and she was angry with me so I had to get her something to eat before I came to work. As I was on my way back to work I saw this "thing" in the road and I though it was a baby bird that had fallen out a tree. I passed it and got to thinking..... I have to come down this road everyday and if that bird gets hit I will be so upset because I could have done something, so I turn around and headed back to scoot it out of the road to give it some kind of chance. Well to my surprise it was NOT a bird it was a kitten!. His eyes were still shut and his umbilical cord was still there. He was the length of my palm. Kelly (my assistant) and i took turns bottle feeding him and ALL the things a momma cat does. It was def. like having a newborn around again. I was up every 3 hours feeding him. Kelly took him on the weekends.
We thought really hard for a name and I came up with Master...............it fits perfect! Kelly and I were his servants and i am still at his beck and call because he is ROTTEN!!!!!!
Master is 8 weeks old today and spoiled as ever!

So, I have been told several times that I need to do a blog post! It has been since Natalie's birthday since my last and that is ALREADY a month ago. Seriously, I think I put a mental block on how busy this time of year is for us with softball/ baseball, dance and dance recital, gymnastics, AND trying to keep grades up because there are so many activities going on Whew! Well enough excuses ;) here is a beautiful newborn that we done several weeks ago but definitely thought she needed her own blog posting for those of you that did not see them on facebook.

Little Anna is just beautiful and was the best sleeper. I just LOVE those cheeks!

My precious sweet baby girl turned 9 last week. How the years have gone so fast! When we went to visit a good friend of mine Hope another photographer was also visiting which is another friend of mine Melissa. We went out to play and of course Nattie was our model. She is so used to having orders barked out to her when in front of the camera and she does them on command without second thought haha. You want smiles, serious, or funny she has it.

My little girl is so full of energy it drives me CRAZY sometimes! She is ALWAYS moving if she is not doing flips she is doing her clogging steps. She can not be still. :)

I always post a few facts about my kids on the birthdays so here are a few of My Natalie
~ you have to wake her very gentle and not push tooo much in the morning or her claws come out.
~ her favorite color is Black (go figure??)
~She paints her fingernails and toenails just about every night and has about 20 different colors.
~She can't wait to get braces.
~when she grows up she want to be a pediatric dentist
~She LOVES to play softball
~ and she loves to write me letters
~ oh, and one more just because this drives me crazy!! Her room is ALWAYS a disaster!

I love her sooo much and I hope that we can stay best friends.
Now a few from her wild slumber party...... yep I completely lost my mind haha!

had the cutest dancer come and see me a couple of weeks ago. She was showing me all her dance moves and twirls. I would tell her how cute she was and she would tell me "thanks" in the sweetest southern accent. LOVED it!

I LOVE this kid! 5 years ago he put me through 13 hours of labor and still did not want to come see me. I should have known how stubborn he was going to be then :). Brady is definitely stubborn but the sweetest little guy ever! Every morning when I go to wake him up he rolls over on his back and spreads his arms and say "hug mama" after we hug he flips over on his stomach and says "twickle my back". He loves to pick my flowers and color me pictures. I am not sure our refrigerator can hold another one.
Every year I do pictures and I enlarge and frame one for my house. This year my little man gave me a run! I kept getting "are we done yet" and the big thrown head back FAKE cheesy smiles. So I tried the bribery of "you can play a motorbike computer game if you let mama get some great pictures!" All he heard was computer and motorbike game and could care less on mom getting pictures. So it was a torture game more less I was the one being tortured! :)

OH YEAH!! all BOY!!!!

Oh but he is just to darn cute when he is wanting to cooperate!

Just a quick note that I forgot to mention in my previous post. My spring mini sessions are scheduled for March 28th - April 15th. I know many of you are waiting on pics and they are coming REAL soon. Just a few finishing touches on the backdrop :). This handsome little guy is from Arizona. His family was coming in town for a couple of weeks and asked if I could do is 6 mt portraits. I was flattered that mom wanted me to do them while they are visiting when she could have anyone over in Arizona take them for her. While I was flattered I also felt pressure :). It is not like I could reschedule if little man didn't want anything to do with me that day but lucky for me he showed out for the camera. :). He is just the cutest thing EVER! It was nice meeting Jackson and his family. Hope you guys have a safe trip back home.

Take a look at this beautiful newborn. I am a little behind on blogging (I know you are not surprised ;) but this little angel missed Valentine's day by one day. :) It was such a joy to meet Gabriella and her mom. I didn't get to see her when mom came in to see her portraits but she will be back in the next 3 months and can't wait to see how much she has grown. :)

Whew!!! talk about a lot of post in one day! I told you I had some catching up to do and there is still more!
This is Cooper. I just LOVE his mom and older brother Nolan! Cooper was a little ticked at me during his session and was very vocal in telling me to leave HIM ALONE! haha but by his pictures you would never know it ;). I guess I caught him in between yelling at me lol. Completely adorable little guy!

This baby girl is just gorgeous! She was a little older than what we typically do for newborns so we were prepared for the worst haha but nope this little one was one sleepy baby. ;) Mom did say that she kept her up all morning so she was pretty wore out by the time she got to me. Got us a super duper cutie that has my heart just because he is so dang cute and sweet but also because he is a Louisiana Tech fan. I myself am a Tech fan because that is where I graduated from. (many years ago but who is counting ;) So, mom has been stalking my blog so I hear haha and is going to come to my house if I don't post this little angel some time soon. Natalie please come to my house only if you don't mind cleaning or folding some clothes (my most hated thing to do..... I think I am allergic to it).

Oh, she really didn't plan on coming to my house I just added that hoping to get it cleaned. :)

This past Saturday Natalie had two parades that she was dancing in and while I had the chance I went ahead and took some pics of her in her uniform for this year. Oh, how i love this sassy, and overload of energy little girl. She drives me crazy a lot of time because she CAN NOT be still!! So I am pretty sure this is the largest post I have ever posted! I told you I had a lot to post and I am EXHAUSTED!! And there is actually a lot more to come! :) I am hopefully about to head home and my wonderful hubby is going to build a fire and hopefully I can give my brain about a 12 hr rest..... hopefully but not likely :).
Just a little FYI I am working on some FAB-U-LOUS special editions for next year and super excited to share those with you and lots of other things. For now here are some we have been working on. Featured Photographer for BackDrop Outlet

So, a few weeks ago I was contacted by Karen who is a representative for BackDrop Outlet and was asked if they could use my work on their site and if I would be their featured photographer. How exciting right! So they need some information about me. I am NOT good at telling about myself and I giggled and thought "you want to know about my photography and things that inspire me and asking me this during my Christmas season....... sleep sounds very inspirational" So, I had to call a photog friend of mine (Hope) and ask her
"describe me" haha. Needless to say she was not a GREAT big help ( I still love her though) ;) So, anyway they have me up on their blog!! How exciting little oh me in Ball Louisiana was picked from a HUGE store in California.

If you have been a photographer for some time now I know you have heard of them and if you are just starting out you definitely have to go and check them out! I have a wish list all year long with them :).

And because I know a post is no fun without a pic so here is a Christmas session I am working on. :)

Okay, so I am going to take a quick break in between editing and post this awesome and so much fun senior! She was a blast to work with and was up for anything!
For those of you waiting........... I am working as hard as I possible can on all your sessions. I have a ton of new stuff to post on facebook and the blog but I am more focused on editing and getting your images ordered so you can order in time for Christmas. Unfortunately I can't "rush" editing maybe if I wasn't so anal on everything but I can't help it. ;)

This is the time of year that I want to through my hands in the air, drop to my knees and yell "I Surrender" It is so easy for me to feel the stress of the season but then I look at the STACK of folders sitting by my wacom tablet and get all sentimental remembering each and every session that is waiting on me to edit. I truly love my job and I always get the most amazing kids and beautiful people in here to see me. So, at this moment my hands will not go up...... they will grab my little pen and edit away! I have so many mama's counting on me for Christmas cards and Christmas presents. Here I go....... I can do it :)

Yep, on top of the holiday season it is also senior season and this is Ashley. She was telling me that she was going to school to be a pre-k/k teacher. I am pretty sure my mouth dropped open when she told me that (not meaning it to ) and I said "ohhhh...... are you sure??? hehe I told her she was more than welcome to keep my pre-k'er. I am pretty sure he could make anyone change their mind in wanting to teach that age haha! Okay, he may not be THAT bad but he has his moments! I just wish his teacher would at least give him a pity happy face. I get stressed out with all his uh-oh faces.
Anyway, I am sure Ashley is going to make a GREAT teacher she seemed to def. have the patience needed for that age.

I was needing a model so who else would be better than Kelly's (my assistant) little boy. Grant is just adorable! Okay, so here is what I am going to do....... My original dates being Nov. 12 & 13 starting booking before I really got to announce anything and that Saturday the 14th is booked. So, with that being a little unfair I have decided to squeeze another Saturday in there. November 6th is WIDE open (as for now ;)) These are mini sessions that last about 30 minutes and are Christmas themed. Some things can be added or taken away and the session fee is $35.00. Yes, I am still around! Holiday season is in swing so I am trying to focus on editing right now and my blog and facebook are being a little neglected, but I had to share these images with you.......Monica was one of my first customers when we moved to this area and I have been taking pictures for her three years now. First was with the adorable Nolan that I ALWAYS love to play with him, and then Molly was born and I took her newborn portraits. Then a very sad moment happened when god decided to have little Molly back with him after only 4 months with us. I get a phone call sometime later and it is Monica telling me the wonderful news that she was expecting again! I was SOOOO excited for her and her family. Seemed like a long time waiting, BUT finally..... I got to meet Cooper!

Monica is just an amazing person and I enjoy every time I get to talk with her and play with her kids.

It is so easy to ignore my blog when I have so much going on!! Sorry...........

I have been taking care of final touches of the Tiger Sprouts that is for this weekend on top of trying really hard to catch up on some editing. So, here are a few sessions that I just got done with and they are just adorable!

FYI...... Christmas season starts tomorrow and I am kicking it off with 12 days of Christmas! There will be 12 days of some great "gifts". If we are not on facebook come friend me becasue I post updates and specials on there also. :)

Tiger Sprouts 2010 is scheduled for next weekend which is Sept 3rd, 4th, & 5th. The backdrop is finished but one of my main props is still being built but at least you can see the look of this year's back ground :) My son was WAY more willing to give me some pics (which is really rare!) than his sister! Maybe it's because it is FOOTBALL!!

So, between the drama of my computers going dumb on me at the studio and getting a new one in this past week has been dreadfully stressful!! Still trying to download all my software, PS actions, bookkeeping software, and everything else my old computer had on it! This chore stinks!!! But, while I was waiting on my new computer to get here I did get two sessions done. The first is Alissa...... super fun, cute, and easy to make smile! Even though she was walking she didn't mind being on the camera side of the studio :) We had a lot of fun playing with everything :)

next is the super adorable Addison........ I have to say this is one of our best sessions yet! Usually miss doll baby gets all serious on us when the camera comes out. But, I guess she decided to ignore the camera and just have a good time :) She has super cool parents and LOVES her daddy!

well, it is time for me to go and pick up Natalie from school! Hope everyone has a great weekend. I know I am..... after my a.m. shoot my in-laws are coming to town and we are going antiquing! Can't wait to see what I find!

So Preslee and I had a play date a couple of weeks ago. She is the sweetest thing ever! My son was with us and I think he liked her too ;). Who could blame him?!? She has the prettiest eyes ever! Those dang mosquito's were about to carry us off though! Man they are bad. I can not say it enough I AM READY FOR WINTER!! I am not a summer kind of gal :). So I am working double time this weekend trying to catch up and I am seriously having a hard time doing it.:) A few things before I post these adorable babies :). Unless you have a newborn August is full. My next available session is September 8th. We are working on our 2nd annual Tiger Sprouts and the backdrop is going to be fantastic!! Hopefully I will have some pics real soon and I will release the dates of when that is going to be. I always have the best time taking his portraits!! His mom always has the best clothes when they come in here. Here is a beautiful 11 day old. Sophie better warn those boys in the future that she has two older brothers that from the look of it are going to be VERY PROTECTIVE!! ;) I enjoyed taking Sophie's pictures and her brothers are the two best well behaved kids that I have seen in a while! They make my kids look WILD! I know these have facebook proof on them but I don't have the time to go in and resize and stamp for blog. I am on an editing marathon at this moment!

Real quick I want to thank all the patiently waiting moms out there waiting on me to post and call you. And a quick update...... sorry to say but August is just about booked. I have a few spots left the week of the 23rd. (this does not apply to newborns since you guys are work ins.)

Being a photographer you think it would be a given that I would have lots of family pics. Truth is my son is four and we don't have the first family pic! How bad is that?! So, I asked a great friend of mine who is also a photographer Hope if she would come and take some for us! Because she is so wonderful and loves me ;) she came up from Eunice to kid wrangle my bunch!. If you are close to the Eunice area you should check her out!

Now, for the grandparents yes, you will be getting some of these. And it's not going to take me 6 months to get them to you.

This is my second time to take this little guy's portraits and I am sure we are going to become the best of friends! He is PRECIOUS!! and full of smiles. He loves the camera or should I say my camera loves him??
I told mom these may not be up till tomorrow but I had time this morning to squeeze them in :).

A few updates.........FIRST: I am SUPER excited that Kelly (my assistant) starts this week! If she only knew the things that are up in my head that I have planned she would probably run the other way haha! SECOND: My annual Tiger Sprouts special edition is just right around the corner so be sure to be on the look out for those dates. The sessions are for one weekend only and the times do fill pretty quick. I will announce it on facebook and on the blog. THIRD: Right after Tiger Sprouts there will be a few other fun things THEN my Christmas session starts and that is when Kelly is really going to want to run! Christmas starts in October and is done by Nov 15. Yes, it is early but for those of you that want Christmas cards and give portraits as gifts they have to be this early so you will have them in time. I could keep the list going but that is enough for now. :)

When Sharon contacted me to do newborn pictures of their 5 week old daughter, I have to admit that I was a little nervous. Typically my "newborns" are done before 2 weeks old but for some reason I said sure come on. Well, this beautiful 5 week old done better than some of my 8 day olds :). She slept and even let me pose her! That just usually don't happen at this age! She was PERFECT in every way!!

So, I have completely become what I just knew I NEVER would and that is a LAME blogger!. But, let me defend my self a little........ I have been posting things on facebook so if we are not friends come friend me here...

Apparently it has been lost in the 1200 that are in my inbox. So, with that being said starting in June I have the FAB_U_LOUS! Kelly coming to help me out! I am super excited about this! So, when you call and a girl with the super cute cajun accent answers the phone you will know who it is. Now for the sessions :). Go grab you a cup of coffee, a glass of tea, Dr. Pepper, glass of wine or what ever and sit back and just look at all this CUTENESS!!!

Yes, mom our day is coming! I know you don't expect to actually get away with no cleaning, cooking, chaperoning kids, car pooling, softball games, bath time, homework, and our list goes on and on and on!! But, what you can do is get out from behind the camera and get in front of it so that your kids will know what you looked like while your still young ! ;) Tell you hubby that you want a gift certificate from me so that I can play with your kids :). I know "most" dads don't exactly sit around and read my blog but you could pull it up on his computer........ do you think he would get the hint??? Okay, probably not so, just tell him what you want like I tell mine :)
Aren't these mommy's pretty with their babies! I love the connection you can capture when mom just plays.

Don't want to seem like I am hurrying the months by but, April has been seriously INSANE! With a whole lot of sessions, my son's birthday, my husband's birthday, my birthday, our anniversary, my daughter's birthday, and Dr. visits April should have been over a LONG time ago! Just a quick schedule update before I post some completely adorable kiddos!! Currently I am booking sessions over in to the week of May 24th. This does not apply if you have a newborn. Now, that I have that update taken care of look at these adorable girls!! These sessions actually were taken a few weeks ago but am just now taking the extra minutes to post some. :) There is just not enough hours in the day for me right now!!

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!?!!!

It has been so long since I have posted anything I had to think "okay, now what do I do??" Let me just tell you about my chaos! I am pretty sure that I have been out of this studio more than I have been in due to SENIORS!!!!! and location shots because the weather has just been BEAUTIFUL!!. So, in between seniors, toddlers, seniors, toddlers, newborns, toddlers, newborns I have been TRYING to sit and edit. Oh, did I mention me not feeling good and the Dr sending me to rest for a couple days because my blood pressure has gone stupid on me! yeah, well add that to my chaos! haha and then there are the house building dilemma's (always excitement:) So, I am just going to be honest and tell you!!............
I"M BEHIND (as I hear the UGHHH!!!! from everyone that is waiting on their proofs) But ,I will tell you THEY LOOK GREAT!! haha Hang in there for me ; maybe you will get a surprise :)

So, these sessions were taken a few weeks back but thought I needed to post some and show you all the cuteness I get to see on a daily basis. I will share.... ..I am not stingy (most of the time).

This first one is sooo funny!! if you only knew how much this little one hates to where hats or headbands it is almost like she is saying "mama when I turn 1 there is not going to be NO MORE of this hat stuff" haha

I know the blog has been seriously neglected here lately. I have been super busy and editing like a crazy women. :) But, today is my son's birthday!! My baby is now 4 years old. I can remember like yesterday the 14 hours of labor this beautiful child put me through and when he decided to take his first steps at 15 months seems like just last week also. It makes me sad at how time flies when we aren't paying attention. Well, enough of my sentimental self ( I am blaming it on being tired ;) and look at my baby now!!

he really is a camera ham! Brady is the sweetest little guy... he is ALWAYS telling me he loves me. I laugh because he tells me it so much I think he says it because he has nothing else to say :) I know I hear "mama I love you" every hour when he is not at school. He loves to give me kisses too. Do you think he will always be a mama's boy????? I hope so :)

He is a little prankster and loves to be silly!!

We had to do Sara's studio portraits a couple of weeks ago thanks to the wonderful Louisiana weather so we finally got to meet up again and do her location shoot. I know she is patiently waiting on these or is it impatiently?? She made my job super easy as I bark out orders haha (my only time to be a boss LOL) in the bending, posing , look this way, head down, chin down, chin up, and my favorite to always capture the DON'T smile...... they always crack up but she nailed it every time!!. Had the most adorable family come see me last week! If I remember correctly mom was a little worried about their oldest son because he is normally not picture ready......... oh, but how wrong was she! He was wonderful! Now, the baby really was not in to the picture thing. LOL! But still managed to get some great shots!

Thought I would fill everyone in on what is left for the Easter Limited Editions that are scheduled for March 19th, 20th, & 21st.
Saturday, there are only 3 2 spots left open that day, Sunday is booked , and Friday morning still looks pretty good.

Seniors!!! What are you doing to ME!!!! LOL Unfortunately if you do not call and book with me now I am not going to be your photographer because as of right now I am scheduling over into the week of March 29th for regular sessions. Just something to think about. :-)

Now, for the beautiful Miss Olivia!! She wasn't real sure at first. She gave me some of her gorgeous natural looks and just trying to figure me out :) but then she warmed up! Just how pretty is this little one?!
